Garry Mueller, MD

Dr. Mueller grew up in the Baltimore suburbs of Dundalk, Towson, and rural Glen Arm. In 1975 he graduated from Perry Hall High School where he played soccer, indoor track and lacrosse. Various jobs held while growing up included paper boy, lawn mower boy, bus boy, dishwasher and landscaping which he still enjoys. He was an Eagle Scout.
In 1979 he graduated Summa Cum Laude from Loyola College. While in college, he ran the school’s annual Red Cross Blood Drives, worked as a hospital Unit Clerk and worked for the Medical Eye Bank of Maryland, harvesting eyes and corneas for transplantation. In 1983 he graduated from the University of Maryland Medical School supporting himself as an IV therapist. In 1986 he graduated from Lancaster General’s Family Practice Residency Program.
He enjoyed Lancaster so much that he decided to raise his family here. In 1986 he joined Dr. Fuchs at Oyster Point Family Health Center as his first partner. He simply loves being a family physician and enjoys the generational relationships that are created. He is married with three grown daughters, two grown stepsons and a daughter-in-law. He loves being Grandpa G to his granddaughter. He attends a local church where he serves as an elder. Many summers he can found as a camp doctor in the Adirondacks of New York at Young Life’s Saranac Lake. He completed his only Marathon at age 48 in Philadelphia. He enjoys family time, hiking, camping, and going to the beach in Cape May.
