Michael K. Weed, MD FAAFP

Dr. Weed grew up in Wyncote, PA, a suburb of Philadelphia. In addition to his pursuits in academics and athletics he was a grocery store clerk, theater usher, plumber, house painter, and volunteer fireman. He graduated from Wittenberg University in Springfield Ohio with a degree in biology with an emphasis in outdoor education and marine biology. In 1981 he graduated from Temple University School of Medicine. He then completed an internship and residency in Family Medicine at the Washington Hospital in western PA. He served for two years in the US Public Health Service in rural North Carolina.
He and his family moved back to PA in 1986. He practiced medicine in Landisville until joining Oyster Point Family Health Center in 1998. He is board certified in Family Medicine with a certificate of additional qualifications in Geriatric Medicine. He enjoys providing health care and education to all age groups. He is married to his childhood sweetheart and they are the proud parents of four grown daughters. He and his wife are active members of a local church. In his leisure time he enjoys the outdoors, landscaping, and baseball.
