William Martens II, MD
Dr. Martens is originally from New Haven, CT. He graduated from Dickinson College, PA, and then went on to medical school at Albany Medical College, NY. He completed his residency training at Children’s Mercy Hospital ,Kansas City, MO, and is board certified in pediatrics. He is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics. His special interests include treatment of children with endocrine disorders and ADHD.
Dr. Martens and his wife enjoy traveling and participating in medical mission trips that provide surgery for children born with cleft lips and palates. These travels have taken them to remote areas of Peru, Venezuela and China and have deepened their appreciation for the need of good healthcare for everyone. When out of the office, he enjoys spending time with his wife, Patricia, and their five grown children and lots of grandchildren. He also relaxes by getting regular exercise on the golf course and tennis court.
